BC589

1958 Maruta Nibusa 6-7 Set

BC589-1, Type 1: Broad Calligraphy Kanji on Front

BC589-2, Type 2: Small Block Kanji on Front

Description:  These menko are fairly common on the market today.  This set features Chiyonoyama's last Yokozuna card as he retired in 1959.  This is also Maegashira Wakamitsugi's first known card.  Menko are printed on thin paper stock, but production quality isn't very good and not a very desirable set.  The front shikona was printed in thick, broad kanji or thin block kanji.  Photos are the same regardless of shikona style
