1959 3-Part Trump Set
|
|
Description: These sets are quite easy to find on the market today and is a traditional matching game/playing card set similar to the 1961 Doyusha Shiki 5 Set. This set is unique in the fact that the rikishi's photo is broken into three different parts: top, middle and bottom. You could play the matching game where you had to flip over and try to match all the parts of the same rikishi or you could use the cards as a playing card deck. This set has a nice early card(s) of future Yokozuna Kashiwado as a Maegashira.
Company: Unknown Availability: Common
Card Size: 1.25" X 2.5" Card Material: Thin, Paper Stock
# of Cards: 48 Packaging: Box
Front Design: Cards are broken up into three parts. Each part has a part of the rikishi's body in the middle. At the top right of each card is a playing card mark. At the top left is the rikishi's shikona and below the shikona and playing card mark is a kanji indicating which part of the card you have; either top, middle or bottom. At the very bottom of every card is a number from 120 to 10 which I imagine corresponds more or less to their rank since the Yokozuna are at the top.
Back Design: Backs are blank.
