1973 Calbee Set

Description:  Although this set isn't a menko set, it is an important set in the world of sumo menko and cards. It is by far the most expensive set to collect, even more so than the early 1900's menko sets, and individual cards can rarely be bought for under $40.00 per card.  It is also only 1 of 2 sumo card sets issued in all of the 1970s and even 1980s.  The fact that they were issued in bags of potato chips and complete sets are hard to find and come by have added to the popularity.  I believe baseball cards were also issued in 1973 in bags of Calbee Potato Chips and those are equally as expensive and hard to collect.  If you can pick any of these up for even $40.00 per card it will be a good investment.
